There are people who would argue for Rolling Stones, Doors, The Who, Grateful Dead or Jefferson Airplane.

All of these bands were great but The Beatles were by far the most innovative and influential rock band. Rock is what it is today because of the Beatles.

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, The Who, Neil Young, The Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, Fugazi, etc.

I love Pearl Jam- the oldeer stuff, or the Beatles!
