Goths are a lot more kinda dark than emos. Emos tend to wear dark cloths with brighter colour too and lots of accessories, but goths go with the simple dark look with not many accessories. Thats only my oppinion as I am emo I think emo is better than goth.

My personal view is that there are three types into the “Goth” scene: The first is the kind who see us and want to be like us, for whatever reason, maybe the black clothes alot of us wear, the supposed rebellious side, or maybe they dont know what to do with all the extra makeup they have. They dont stick with it long because of peer pressure, mum and dad or because they feel they grow out of it. Then thee are the ones who go through the phase, and they too grow out of it and move on.

Then there are the rest of us, who saw a black blanket ten minutes after we were born, crawled off the warmer without a diaper and got under the blanket, saw a man who looked like Dracula and said “Daddy!” when we were eight weeks old, turned eight years old and wanted a hearse with all our might, turned fifteen and baught a black overcoat and wore it everywhere except the shower, became an adult and got the hearse, slept in it the first few nights, then if you are like me, you raised kids, and when you go out in the fall you sport a top hat, black hair and overcoat and when people snicker and make remarks you go “yougotaproblem?”

I can hear the goth classic music of Midnight Syndicate and get all warm inside, see a storm coming and run out to be in it, see an old empty house and mark it so I can go back, see an old cemetery and check to see if any old decorations have fallen on the ground, and go to a Goth club and have an awesome time still.

When I am around something goth related I always get happy over it, and probably always will. People who hate goth amuse me. They are narrow minded and judgemental.

That’s me, the victorian guy, Goth from the beginning to the end.
