What are good songs that show off your voice?

Anyone got any good ideas for songs that show off your voice? I’m doing a concert soon and would like a ballad that I can just stand and sing. I have an o.k voice but I would like to show it off. Usually the songs I sing are fun, but I would like to show the audience I can actually carry a tune all the way through. All comments welcomed. Thanks people XxXxX

I don’t pretend to be a professional singer but if I were you I would first figure out your vocal range. Than choose a song within that range that you know well and enjoy. The technical aspect of singing is only 1part you need to learn, another is the performance. Get to know your song intimately and be expressive when appropriate. I personal though don’t care for people who sound exactly like who their singing of, a personal touch on a song can be just as inspirational as the quality of voice.
