why people is so nice to me

last friday my supervisor gave me her lunch and yesterday I was having a breakfast at dunkin donuts and an old lady gave her newspaper I was surprised like oh thank you , I dont complain about this but I dont know why people is so nice to me I like it but sometimes it feels weird what do you think about that any answer is welcome thank you.
