For all of you who are quoting the “Thou shalt not kill” commandment, you would find if you did a word study, or learned how to speak Hebrew, that the word “kill” is a bad translation, and that the commandment would be better read as “Thou Shalt Not MURDER.” Also, sin is anything that contradicts the commands and will of God, so there can be no good sin. For the guy who said “Masturbation,” you should know that the Bible does not condemn the act of masturbation, but if you are having lustful thoughts when you masturbate, I.e. pretending that you are having sex with someone, then it becomes sinful. You should also note that anyone can interpret the different commandments that God gives throughout the Bible in many different ways, and this makes it very hard for people to know who is telling the truth. So, I will leave you with what Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commands hang all the law and the prophets.” If you can obey these two commands to the fullest, you will in turn obey every law that you need to obey. that is a self contradicting phrase a sin is bad, so how can it be good? I dont believe there is such thing as a good sin

No there isn’t - if you believe in Christianity and the bible. There is no good sin. Sin is Sin. Period.

I also don’t believe in any of that stuff though.

I don’t know if you would concider lying a sin,bur I think that’s good and bad because sometimes you havta lie to help some one and stuff.

Sin is sin…never good…very black and white

That is why I don’t believe in sin, but rather - morality…allowing us to make decisions for the greater good without the burden of being labelled a sinner.

Sin is waverable anyway. For example. 10 commandments. Don’t kill. Joshua. Kills hundreds under the name of God. And is to this day by many christians considered one of the greatest people in the bible.

Sin is a concept only

Most actions categorized as ‘sin’ can be good under the right circumstances.

THOU SHALT NOT KILL; unless you’re an executioner acting in your official capacity, or if you’re a soldier dropping bombs on a city, or in self defense…

THOU SHALT NOT STEAL; unless you’re an agent of the IRS, or capturing spoils of war, or manifest destiny and those pesky redskins are in the way…

KEEP HOLY THE SABBATH; unless you’re hungry, or rescuing a donkey from a well, or you work in emergency services, …

etc.

For those of us who don’t believe in sin anyway, many actions considered ‘sin’ are good.

In the book of Romans, Paul outlines the nature of sin and addresses the proposition of whether “…we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” (if good results from sin, let’s go crazy!)

Read the whole book to get the picture. You can sit down and read the whole thing in an hour or two; it was written as a letter - like those interminable “what we did this year” letters you get around christmas time from old friends you haven’t seen in forever.

There is no such thing as a good sin. If you’re christian, you’d find out that there are allot of things that aren’t good such as MasterBation. I believe that sins that we comitt aren’t good. We’re human and sin. God knows we’re not perfect. If we want to be with him for time and eternity, then we’re going to have to try not to comitt sin. That doesn’t always work though. If we knowingly comitt sin, we get in so much pain that its hard to repent. I don’t believe there are good sins out there.
