What is a good way to tell people your sorry for hurting them?

Theres a few people I hurt VERY badly and i really want to tell them i’m sorry without bringing up negative emotions for them.

Answer #1

Send them a card that says you’re sorry. I think it helps to draw a picture of yourself in the card with a sad face too.

Works for me.

Answer #2

It wasn’t just a simple oh i’m sorry type thing, this is an I genuinely broke peoples hearts.

Answer #3

hmmm…try adding a broken heart picture with a bandaid on it. The more detail to the drawing the better.

Answer #4

i’m almost 20. I honestly dont think a picture will explain what I want to get across. But thank you for the idea.

Answer #5

Hey I’m 26. Trust me. It works better than you think. Might even make them laugh.

Answer #6

Write them a letter? A nicelong letter with your heart poured into it.

Answer #7

When i went into AA one of the steps in the program was to make amends to people that you have hurt along your path of addiction. It wasnt easy, but the best way i found was to write them a letter so i coulld truly explain to them how i felt, why i did the things i did, and how sorry i was and how much i regretted it. Its kind of impossble to make amends without bringing up old feelings and hurt, but all you can do is say your peace and ask for forgiveness, you cant force someone to forgive you, you can just let them know that you tried to make amends and atleast then you can move on.

Answer #8

Depends what your saying sorry for….

Answer #9

ask to talk to them personally and say sorry ect. but respect the thigs the person says and admit your wrong

Answer #10

the best thing to do is not give up on them, the most that person will try to do is perhaps ignore you just to get more attention. they will even might swear or tell you to go away, but all they really want is for you to stay x just dont give up on them!

Answer #11

Simple. Tell them: “I’m sorry you’re all so damned sensitive and take everything personal.”

That’s something I’d say. So in that respect do the exact opposite.
