Oregon, USA is cheap (no sales tax). Downside? Too many white people (I know, I know...it's where my family lives & I grew up).
Bali, Indonesia is cheap if you stay in a lasman (local hotel that costs perhaps 10 bucks / day) - downside is internet isn't so good.
Malaysia, if you shop carefully and stay in less expensive place, you can get full board (3 meals / day) that will run you only ~5 US dollars per person....internet is decent, too, but only near major metros.
Well...where I live is pretty laid back and dirt cheap, lol...problem is, you're bound to get bored if you're looking to do anything other than fishing and getting in touch with nature ;)
this might be extending it but.. check out the philippines. airfare might not be cheap but food, lodging, and shopping are not expensive at all.
I think some of the less touristy pacific islands like Niue are pretty cheap. Its definately laid back!
Well of course, but he has to share a room with the cats :P
And free lodging because he can stay with you, right? :-P
Montana....NOTHING ever happens here...LOL
PS...no sales tax here, either
Cats are fine. I love cats.
