Going Blonde

hey, so I have brown hair thats about a medium in darkness. I have been wanting for ages now to dye it blonde. I dont want to go bright blonde but more a honey/golden blonde. Kinda like Hilary Duff. Everytime I look up things about it though they all say it would/could ruin your hair, it will go dry, it will turn brittle ect ect I was wondering why it does and how I can avoid it. Also how is it then that people such as Hilary Duff are always re doing there hair and it always looks perfectly fine!

The only reason that they say it dry’s your hair out is because it is attacking your hair with chemicals. Most of the time you can avoid hair damage if you get special shampoo and follow the directions that the hair dye gives you. me and my bro. are always dying are hair, yet we don’t have any damage to it. Best of luck!

Answer #2

If you go from dark brown to blonde all at once, it will not only fry your hair, but it’ll likely turn out orangey. What you do is gradually go blonde, by dying it no more than two shades lighter at a time. Wait a couple weeks and do it again. Keep repeating this process until you have the shade you want.
