Why does God allow the the thing that means the most to you to be taken from you?

The thing the meant the most to me, that made me the happiest has been taken away from me..now I feel so sad and alone.. I can’t help but wonder why God would let that happen? I really don’t get it.

Answer #1

*that

Answer #2

Im going to try and not make this about me being an athiest. i guess because he doesnt control your life and he doesnt have a say in it ? things are ment to me, sometimes for the best but we dont even realize it, we have to let go & move on for our own good. dont blame ‘god’ for it, it happend because it HAD to happen.

Answer #3

It happens to everyone at some point. I had so many things that made me happy robbed from me. My dad, my mom, grandpa, friends, so on and so forth. It hurts but you will make it through and you will be stronger. What you have to realize is god gave you that thing that made you so happy for that point in your life, and at least you got to experience that.

Answer #4

That’s usually how I see it.. but this time I’m stumped. Why did I have to lose my puppy? =( It’s not like I was neglecting anything that was more important.. he wasn’t holding me back from doing anything.. I don’t understand this one. :( Thank you Irene. <3

Answer #5

it might have saved him from an even worse death or future hun.

Answer #6

Maybe he’s testing ur faith in him. Or maybe he doesn’t exist. All I know is u can sit there all u want and ponder upon that question and u will never find an absoloute answer. I say just go with the flow, and if /od does exist I’m sure she has a grand design

Answer #8

GOD ISNT REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer #9

don’t blame God for YOUR problems.

Answer #10

Seriously? If you are going to be extremely rude dont even comment. Your out of line.

Answer #11

I’m not asking ‘’Oh… I got drunk and threw up all over my brand new $1,000 jacket… why does God do this to me?’’ Please, if you’re going to be ignorant, don’t answer my questions. Thanks :)

Answer #12

first of all I’m not being ignorant, I was being blunt and honest to whoever Mackenzie is. and to moe214 I didn’t click on ur question n read on how u expanded ur ‘’question’’, I apologize. (:

Answer #13

I didn’t say you were being ignorant I said you were being extremely rude. How is what you said being blunt and honest?

Answer #14

I didn’t mean to cause an argument so just forget abt it. I’m not going to argue ONLINE (lame) or even in person who I don’t know.

(:

Answer #15

Thank you> :)

Answer #16

Were not arguing, i’m just simply trying to figure out what your talking about.

Answer #17

If she wasn’t actually blaming ‘’God’’ for her problem then she shudn’t have said ‘’Why does God allow the the thing that means the most to you to be taken from you?’’ becuz that’s not God’s fault. u have free will on everything. god doesn’t control ur life unless u want Him to. I get upset wen people talk bad or blame my God for things.

Answer #18

Let me be a little more clear.. I’m confused with my religion at the moment.. I just wonder why since God has all the power in the world, He can do anything.. why does He allow bad things to happen? my puppy meant everything to me.. I constantly prayed to God.. not about selfish things, but to keep everything and everyone safe.. and my puppy still died… it’s just hard to have faith in something when you’re constantly let down. I’m not being selfish and it’s not like I expect things to go my way all the time, but still.. you know.

Answer #19

No one actually knows why things like that happen but it just happens…. U just have to keep going in life until the end (:

Answer #20

i feel really sad about it,i also suffered from this in january when my pug was sick and i tried everything for him to cure him,go to doctors, sit for hours,i was so scared when i looked at him one night with his eyes open..i scream and cried like hell D; he was dead…. so i can say ..its not only you..there are a lot of people who suffer this same thing and feel sad about it and they will naturally blame god, this is natural because i was also like ‘why did you take him away from me god?’ i will advice you to think about it,cry, let it go.always think that what if he is not with you now,he will always be inside you and now wherever he will go you must hope he will be more happy. we always cannot say god did it,i believe that whatever is written will happen, nothing is in our hands, all that we can do is pray for it and always think positive. its okay, you will come out of it after some time.

Answer #21

Its pretty much testing your faith. I know it sucks.

Answer #22

You cant put your trust in anything but god. Im not saying you shouldn’t have loved your puppy at all, but i am saying if you depend fully on god to meet your every need, you’ll never be dissapointed in him. You can’t even depend on your own legs to keep you up when you walk. We are not self sufficent. we need God for everything and he will pull us through the tough times.

Answer #23

we just had to put down our dog last week, it’s times like this that make me wonder if the saing “everything happens for a reason” is really true.

Answer #24

that’s what I’m saying.. I have always believed ‘everything happens for a reason’’ but I don’t understand why my puppy had to fall in a water bucket and drown at 3 months old.

Answer #25

Loss is a part of life….life on life’s terms. This is not a “God problem”….The loss of a pet is something that all lovers of animals go thru…..MANY TIMES in a lifetime. We grieve, we remember our pet that we loved, and we move over and allow another pet to come in….it doesn’t take the place of the lost pet…it simply fills the hole left by loss.

The same holds true with love….people pass in and pass out of our lives. They were put there for a reason, and as long as we can acknowledge what we learned from that person, and use it….they will always be with us.
