What does glutin free pancakes tast like?

Usually, gluten free foods taste about the same as the normal gluten-full versions. I have a friend that’s allergic, and her food always tastes the same, if not a little more fresh, but it does depend on what the cook uses to make whatever it is. For example, I’ve been told that rice flour makes things taste somewhat off, but buckwheat and corn taste fine, from experience.
