Getting an IPOD Replaced...?

Home More advice Computers & Tech

To all the evils in the world, my IPOD was stolen right in front of me while at school yesterday. I already a theft report on campus and called the serial number to apple stolen and they said it would be flagged if someone try to bring it in for service. The question is the ipod was a gift from my dad for my 21st birthday two months ago (which made this a whole lot worse) and they bought on a credit card, from what apple told me, their credit card might be able to replace the stolen ipod since it has value and because the card might have some kinda of protection or insurance...is this really true?

And on a off note, what does anyone really think of the chances the butthead who stole my ipod would actually go to a apple store, now thinking about I have the usb

Additional Details PS... I don't really think I getting my old one back...but still pisses me off, still an IPOD on a college campus...if you can afford one class at my school, you afford a stinkin IPOD
