Who here know who George Harrison is without using Google?

Ok (by the way I never look anything up to answer because I feel like it’s cheating) George was the lead guitar player for the Beatles. He died of lung cancer and I’m not sure what year. The song “layla” by Eric Clapton was written by Eric about George’s wife.

I honestly didn’t know who he was until I read the answers. He may be an important part of music history to you but The Beatles were before my generation so I didn’t know who he was. I know who Lennon is because an article about his death is in a book of mine.

I don’t.

I hear you, Aidens, but one of the reasons a lot of us liked him from early on is because he was the quiet and shy one, right? So it makes sense he’d be a little less known, especially by people who weren’t around yet at the time. But I’m glad you know of him! He made a lot of great music post-Beatles, too.

True I liked George because he was the shy quiet one. But after they split up I liked him because he took the road less traveled and not seeking the fame and continued publicity.
