I am thinking I need to see one, soon. But I don't know how to go about it. I do not want to tell my parents about it because they have no idea what is going on whatsoever, and they don't seem to understand the concept either. but I feel like I do need help.
Don't visit one. Is all I can say. They do not have the answers to life and problems. If you feel depressed, what is it you are not accomplishing in life. What are you eating that you could be allergic to, and so on. There are health suppliments, such as vitamin B12, that gives one a bust. See your local vitamin shop.
There's generally different ways to find a psychologist and find out about coverage. One way is to get a referral. Either your general practitioner or even better someone you know. Or you could call around and simply ask. If you go to school, they will have advice on how to go about this.
If the psychologist is in the public sector (clinic, hospital, school, etc) then it's covered by your provincial health insurance. You're in Ontario, so OHIP will cover it.
I'm not sure about in Canada but I know where I live and with health coverage it costs he $45 each visit.
