What do you think is the general state of mind of people where you live (Read more)?

Positive and optimistic? Negative and pessimistic? Lost and clueless?

Answer #1

Lost and clueless, definitely. People where I live are stupid.

Answer #2

Completely lost and clueless. I live in a “rich” place so everyone thinks that they can do/say whatever they want and mommy and daddy will come to their rescue, you have to have all the name brand clothes and act a certain way or you’ll get made fun of. It’s just ridiculous, also everyone sleeps with like 10 different people, I’ve heard at least 5 different schools say they hate mine because everyone here is a slut and snobby.

Answer #3

Lost and clueless…although the youth are a lot better than the adults. The majority of the adults here don’t speak much English.

Answer #4

I can identify with some of that young lady. Keep in mind that in 2-3 more years you will graduate and trust me it won’t matter anymore. For now, focus on what you want to do and just keep you’re sanity until school is done. You really can rise above all the stuff that’s hard about school. Here’s an example: All those “richies” I went to school with, still can’t make it out here without their parents. I cut my own path in this world and am very thankful that I made it. (now they all talk to me when I see them in public) Hang in there!!!!!

Answer #5

Only two more years! and next year I’m applying for a trade school so hopefully I’ll get out of there:) I don’t think parents should spoil their kids as much as some do, I mean some spoiling is okay but to go as extreme as kids that think they can do/say whatever they want is just extreme.

Answer #6

State of mine where I live? closed minded, provincial, xenophobic and jingoistic.

Answer #7

honestly all of them most of the kids are all postive and some adults are too and all the ghetto people are negative and all the homeless or atheist people are negative and clueless

Answer #8

Thanks for your reply. The atheists will always be lost, but the others you mentioned can find hope .

Answer #9

You dog, I only understand two of the four words here. But I feel like maybe they all need an ass whippin. Right? Wrong? What?

Answer #10

It’s amazing how it has’nt changed at all since I was there. You are gonna do fine because you already know what’s up.

Answer #11

Angry, upset, annoyed, confused, scared mostly.

Answer #12

I find a lot are negative and pessimistic. People arent neaerly as happy as they should be. Another day above ground is a good day. A lot are angry all the time. Which is exhausting. Too much road rage. If you gave to switch lanes in traffic u gotta almost hit people ti get let in. Horrible. I find some rays of sunshine tho. Every day there is always a lick of hope for man kind. Some days not at all. I think people need to focus on being more humble

Answer #13

Mostly lost and clueless. I find that the generation now doesn’t think much anymore.

Answer #14

Picture a large group of stereotypical Hispanics, African Americans, and snobby upper class kids

Now take about 20 points off all of their IQ. that’s where I live

Answer #15

Because my area is mostly working mid to poor class ( if there is such a thing as mid class anymore) and with the job economy… I see most as very angry, distrustful of the government, and pessimistic about their futures.

Answer #16

Negative and pessimistic mixed with lost and clueless. My suburb isn’t near the worst in my town but it’s known for it’s Indigenous and also a small portion of non-Indigenous residents neglecting their children, substance abusing and constant trouble. My street is full of people who’d rather drink and party than look after their kids which calls for police and ambulances just about every weekend. A couple weeks ago my Mum and I were getting in the car about to go shopping when we saw four little dark girls all between 18 months and 2 years of age just wandering about the street in their nappies. We had to convince them to hold our hands and go back to their house.

Answer #17

From where I see it, a little bir of everything. Then again, I can’t judge and assume things and label an entire population, it all varies by the situation found in, plus I would consider state of mind going beyond those choices…

Answer #18

Depends toward who and what. But the general all-over-the-place sentiment is pessimistic.

I mean towards politics, economy the media, institutions and like ilk… people are either indifferent, or bitter. Most are fatalistic. It’s the: “It’ all crappy anyway. No way you could do anything about that.” attitude.

Why would you go to a rally? They will only ignore you. Why vote? You don’t really have a choice. Why complain about the TV program? It gets crappier and crappier any way. And the news? They are 100% biased. The Economy? The €URO will crash. Only a matter of time. No way you could change that. Go buy some canned food and put it in your basement. School? School is there to keep children dumb. Public schools are bad and under-financed. Private schools are expensive and promote elitism. But that’s the way it is. Public offices are bureaucratic and hate us. Public employees are overpaid and unfriendly. But they’re supposed to, they probably get orders from their superiors to never smile, I guess….

But I think that people aren’t all negative. They still believe in decency in common folks they meet. People take hitchhikers. People leave their keys with their neighbors. People stop to help each other if there is a traffic accident. People ask someone who buys only one piece to go to the front of the queue in the supermarket. People donate for charity. People greet each other on the streets. People go and take walks in the forest alone.

Answer #19

Something to expand their consciousness anyway. Some LSD in the water might help.

Answer #20

I grew up in Michigan who’s economy was in the dumper my whole childhood. It takes its toll on people. I noticed visiting my home town that the range of expression was frowns, scowls and grimaces but no smiles. It is because times have been tough there for so long. The country as a whole isn’t there yet but another decade or two like the last and it will be.

Answer #21

What? I’m right here.

Answer #22

That’s funny.
