Hiya well its ezznkadz here. were both 15 and are doing are GCSE’S which for anyone who doesn’t know are major tests. we are so stressed as we dont know what to do I think that teachers make big deals about them too make us work faster but it actually makes our work worse because we are trying to hard if you know what we mean. any tips on a non stress GCSE year !

Answer #1

Erugh I’m doing my gcse’s too. But I’m taught at home so it’s easier. Yeh the teachers do put , in my opinion, Unnessary presure on everybody. The best advice I can give you is, try your best, if the teachers not happy with that then theres nothing more you can do. Apart from homework obviously, try not to think about your gcse’s as this will just stress you out even more

Answer #2

Every year in school they tell you how your life will be ruined if you get a bad grade… uhm yeah, once you’re done with O levels, whether you got 5As and 3Bs or 8Cs (even a couple of Ds didnt kill anyone) no one’s going to care or remember… so try and keep that in perspective… sure it’s important to do your best, but dont stress yourself to the point where you start doing badly..

Answer #3

I feel your pain. I’m fourteen but because they scrapped the SATs I have to take my Maths module 8 and Chemistry higher tier papers in june. What’s worse is that my maths teacher gets something wrong EVERY lesson and I hate science :P

What I intend to do us revise frequently on BBC Bitesize, ignore when the teachers pile on the added stress (although obv. listening to worthwhile advice) and go to the revision classes.

Answer #4

I’m doing my GCSEs as well and am constantly reminded of the fact everyday Make sure you’ve revising at home If you don’t come to revsion after school y’ve got detention etc etc etc etc etc… I feel so stressed out, so I know exactly how you feel! I’m behind on coursework, I’m always finishing off and doing artwork. I should have been revising tonight but I just came straight home and could not even be bothered. Are your GCSES in the summer? I think the thing to do is make sure all your coursewok is done and make yourself a revsion timetable. Revise for a few hours every night and make sure you cover EVERYTHING. This should ease your stress a little as you can realise that your brain is soaking it all in ready for the test.Good luck!
