Hi!

I believe it has a LOT to do with your location and weather.

This book has a lot of good reviews on amazon.com and target.com. It’s hard for us to give advice without knowing the growing conditions where you are :)

I always plant my tomatoes the 3rd week of April. Also okra, carrots, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, cukes, eggplant, corn, zucchini, broccoli, spinach, kale, lettuce, celeric. That way you have a variety. I only water my garden when I first plant it. Then it only gets the water that the Lord provides. I usually have the best garden in my neighborhood. My first tomatoes are ready to eat the middle of July. If planting any plants put them in a hole deep enough to cover the roots. If planting seeds like lettuce, spinach, kale, celeric, hearts of roamine etc. just make a row w/the back of your hoe and plant the seeds fairly close together and take the hoe and spread the dir back over the top. You don’t want the seeds too deep in the ground. When planting zucchini, or watermelon or cantaloupe or gr beans make a hill and plant 3-4 seeds , then cover up the seeds w/dirt. Don’t put too deep, just enoughto cover seed. If you have a small garden buy bush cucumbers and plant them as they don’t take a lot of room and they really produce a lot. Don’t plant the fruit too close together , give them room to spread. When planting okra put the seed 8 inches apart as they grow tall and shade anything close by. You can also plant onions, & garlic but it will winter in the ground and you can dig it up in June of the following year. If you need any more advice send me a funmail. Good Luck w/your garden. Dena
