From black hair to blonde :/
Ok well I have a hair appt to get my hair striped.n about 4 months ago I dyed my hair black and it was permanent. Now that I have my extensions out I have a hair appointment friday morning. Im suppose to be getting my hair striped and putting blonde highlites thru it.. I have a natural red pigment in my hair. Should I strip it or just try to get lots of tiny p[latinum blonde highlites through my black w a platinum toner to make it appear lighter or is that even possible or what should I do im nervous :/
I think you should just do your natural hair color. I have pink highlights on my natural black hair and it looks radical to me… But I (emphasis on the I) think you should do your normal hair color and ask your hair stylist to put in a cool highlight color… Just my opinion. Feel free to funmail me!
Dying your hair black is the most damaging you can do to your hair as the hairdresser needs to stripe the colour out completely, so be prepare to be sitting on the salon chair for hours.
I find applying too dark a shade from your own natural roots is a nightmare as then it becomes harder later on when you decide you want to go one or two shades lighter.
Highly recommend you go and ask your hairdresser for advice as following the wrong advice/s from here, may cost you more money to get your hair colour, etc fixed later on… Some hairdressers are very experience and will tell you upfront what needs to be done and give you helpful tips.
