friend fight bullying

well I’ve been friends with this girl since I was 4 and we went to the same primary school together. we are friends but not good ones. shes ‘friends’ with some people who I think just use her. 4 people. and a few times when im walking home from school her friends and her keep winding me up and saying realy nasty things to me. I told my mum and dad and they said they will keep an eye on it. but the other day when I was walking home I saw her again and she tried to trip me up twice and grabbed my leg and kept grabbing my bag so I couldnt move trying to act all hard which she isnt cause shes only abit taller than me. (im small for a year 9). so then after she grabbed me I slapped her round the face because it was going on for weeks this thingy and I couldnt stand it so I did something. should I have done that and what do you think about what I just wrote?.x thnx

I would say that you probably shouldnt have hit her, but I can understand that sometimes it just gets too much and you cant cope anymore! As for the bullying and that, is there any way you can get picked up from school or soemthing to avoid her? if not, maybe a bus? And if they do it during school time, going to a teacher you trust or your head of year or something could help :) Hope that helps, let me know what happens :) xox
