Why Does Freckles Do This? (Freckles is my cat)

Whenever I write my to-do list, he jumps up, and he licks my paper with the ink on it. Why does he do that? Isn’t that bad for his health? (I stop him each time I see it)

He is attracted to the scent probally. Cats are very sensitive to smells.

He probably enjoys the taste. There is a warning that if you dispose of your car’s oil outside on the ground, the smell that it gives off can attract cats mostly because it smells and tastes sweet to them, so be careful!
