What foods are okay for cats to eat?

Answer #1

Cat food? the kind you buy at the grocery store.

Answer #2

Any kind of Cat food…wet or dry food will be fine

Answer #3

If you mean people food, a lot of vets say it’s not okay to feed your cat any human food. Though, I think raw fish or shelfish is okay once in a while, in little bits. But, no raw meat or anything. And cats like to pick what kind of food they eat (in my experience) so, you should try both wet and dry to see what they like.

Answer #5

Here are people foods that vets say cats are not allowed to eat!!! Onions, Garlic, Chives, Milk and Other Dairy Products (Specifically adults, can cause mild tummy problems), Alcohol, Grapes and Raisins (kidney failure), Caffiene, chocolate, Candy, Gum, fat trimmings, bones, Raw eggs( affects the absorption of vitamin), raw meat and fish (bacteria), yeast dough (can rise inside the stomach/ alcohol poisoning), Human medicine. Citrus oil (vomiting), Macadamia nuts (unknown toxin), Mushrooms (can be toxic), Green Tomatoes (Tomatoes in pet foods are ripe), Green (raw Potatoes)…. Apricot, cherry, peach pits, almond nuts, apple seeds (all cause cyanide poisoning), Avocado (toxic persin),…………………………….Tho I have a 15yr old cat I feed Yougurt, Grapes, milk, all types of fruit, fruit juices every day. I bet she’ll live to be +20!!! And in my opinion, I also believe a natural raw diet program is the best if you are able to deal with it and afford it.

Note: Don’t feed your cats grapes even tho I do. They could have a sever reaction and possible die. It does happen. Dogs too!
