What was this flash in the sky I saw last night?

Last night at about midnight, my cat and I were looking out my window and there was this huge explosion in the sky followed by what looked like shooting stars coming out of it and going for miles but I don’t think they were. I had recently seen a plane flying across the sky… could the plane have blown up? Or did I see a star implosion or something?

Could have been a lightening storm, they can happen in the clouds

No there were no clouds, it was a clear night…

i think it could have been a star explosion. its called a supernova but its very rare to see them. it would be on the news. I dont no wat that ccould be.. thats really weird

If anything like a plane crash or a supernova happened, it will be in the media. So keep your eye on the media and maybe you’ll find out what it was. If nothing is said, then I don’t know… Sorry. If I had seen it myself I might be able to help.

probably a meteor, or a nuclear explosion, but given the fact that u sed “last night” im going with the first option
