Finding a job

I am going on 17 years old on June 22 and I am trying to find a job. However, my parents: A) arent willing to take me to get applications because they say it cost to much gas or they dont have the time and B) its hard becuase they are making me take off my birthday and a 2 week vacation in july. Any Advice on how I can find a job fast and all. I’ve already tried some online places and all. This would be my Second job. I really need to start saving money for my future and mine and my boyfriends future. And more. Plus my parents told me that when I get my lincense that I have to pay for insurence so I cant drive myself to work till then so all my paychecks until it adds up to $240 are going straight to them and thats every single penny that willand plus I have to pay for gas. I have been trying to get a job for almsot a month now. Any Advice?

Well I will be able to drive to work once I get a actual job. I had at one time worked at KFC. I already babysit. But I need an actual job and even the people who would be like that aren’t really giving me calls or anything. So um yeah and ethmer we dont really have a bus system here I mean there is a bus that runs through here but not for that really. and thx zorbot but seeing as I alreayd babysit what im trying to do is im trying to find a job other than those little ones so yeah.

In a way your parents are doing you a favor by letting you become resourceful and independent on your own! Who says you need to drive a car to work? You can walk, cycle, skateboard or Rollerblade instead. Good thing you aren’t dependent on the car because you’d waste all your money on gas and also pollute the environment! Now since since you are limited by distance (can’t get a job too far away), experience (need to look for jobs that don’t need too much experience) and time (need to find jobs that are easy and fast to find AND don’t mind you taking days off), my suggestion is to look around your neighborhood for part time jobs like mowing lawns, painting houses, babysitting, dog walking, cat sitting, house cleaning, gardening, errands for th elderly, car washing…etc. Check your local grocery stores, community centers for adds (and put one up) and talk to neighbors to find out if they need any work done around the house. You can also check your local Craigslist online, if you have one. Good luck!

If you have a good bus system in your town, then consider utilizing the bus system.
