How do I find out who I owe money to?

yes, it could be a scam…i havent heard of people who call you saying you owe money (nowdays its usually on the internet) and phone scams usually involve holidays, prizes or money youve won…but it seems normal for a scam to be about you oweing some source money…though dont jump to conculsions just yet because it might not be…ring the person back, they should have given you a LOT of information when they called about what money you owe, who you owe it too, ect. ring them back and ask exactly what/who you owe this money to, also ask other questions but DONT give them ANY personal details over the phone…if it was a real company , they would respect your privacy and more than likley make you go in and sign forms, not blab out details over a phone. if your still unsure after that i would just re-check everything you owe/take/use money with (cards, debts, ect) to see if your up to date, ring or ask all the companys like credit card companys to ask if you really are up to date and if they have been calling you telling you owe them money. if the person never rings again, then they probably were a scam, if they keep constantly ringing you might need to get help from higher authorities who can help you with that sort of thing
