Fifth member of westlife

Why did he quit? Did he quit? Or did something happen to him??? I’m one westlife’s biggest fans!!! And when I hear their last three albums I feel like something’s missing in the song… What’s his name? Is he still a singer? Any new albums???

Bryan McFadden was his name I believe, I dont remember the whole story on him and the reason why he quit but I do remember reading it in a UK music mag some time ago.

Brian left the band in 2004 and the remaining bandmates - Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan and Nicky Byrne - have four albums since then.

back in march, kian said, “He left the group and you can’t expect us to take him back. I told him: ‘You’re never going to be in Westlife again. Accept it!’”

As for why he left, I guess he thought he had to work on his marriage, the official reason was to be with his family more - not that it helped as he and Kerry split later the same year.

There’s also whispers it’s because he got offered a solo deal (he did record a solo album that same year too) or because he got sick of management telling him and the lads their own songs weren’t good enough when us fans know they are, but I guess we’ll never really know.
