female dog and male dog

my neigbor has a mut female dog. my dog is a pure bred male american eskimo. anyway would it be ok to let them mate? and…the female(sam) came to my house today and I don think shes in heat cause shes not bleeding or anything but my dog(kolby) kept trying to mount her. is it normal for male dogs to mount female dogs when their not in heat. or do the males usually wait until the females are in heat?

jeje I have and eskimo too, hmm… no its okay if the guys do it. and yeah I guess its okay if they do only if you want her to get pregnant though its gonna be a mixed breed

Answer #2

Your should neuter your dog. A neutered animal lives longer and is healthier.

Answer #3

Do you enjoy your dog because of the traits that are special to its breed? I would assume that you do otherwise what made you decide to get that specific dog? for almost everyone, there is a breed of dog that they like more than other breeds, and that is because of characteristics that are breed specific. whether it is in a certain way the dog looks or because of something specific about their personality. LISTEN CLOSELY…WE ARE ALL GOING TO LOOSE THAT!!! Why, because everyone is breeding mutts. And the majority of the people who are breeding pure bred dogs don’t have a clue what they are doing. They pick a dog to breed because they like the way it looks. But they are not delving into the history of the dog breed and learning what breed specific traits that they are suppose to be breeding into or out of that breed of dog!!! Keep it up folks and in the very near future instead of being able to say, I have an Eskimo, or poodle, or what have you you will only be able to say…I have a dog!

Answer #4

Please do NOT let them breed…get your dog fixed, and ask the neighbors if their dog is possibly fixed already (we could be lucky…yes?)…If your dog is a young guy, he may just be feeling his hormones a little, too…as well as what Harley said…it maybe a dominance posturing.

the sign of “mounting” a dog is also a sign of Domince, who is going to be the pack leader. And you should not let them do this at all because you are the pack leader. Ceaser Millan had a great show on lastnight about this.

As far as breeding them I say NO. there are millions of mixed dogs in shelters waiting to find a wonderful home. Why would you want to add to that, There are so many benifits to getting your dog spayed or neutered. So if you are not planning on breeding your dog, get them fixed. it is best for them and the rest of the dog population. I hope you really think about this.
