Is this a felony or midemeanor and where can I work?

Hello I live in Florida and I have a Felony conviction for habitual traffic offender.I spent only 3 days in jail. This happened in 2003 and I had a job that knew about my background but the company was sold and we all lost our jobs. Now in my case from what I have been told this is a true felony in that in some other states it would be consider a misdemoner. I know that if it gets to bad I can move but I have family here and I really don’t want to leave. Does any know where I can contact people to find out where I can work around here. Also I want to got to school for medical coding but don’t want to waste my time and money if I can’t get a job. Has anyone out had a similar problem? Thanks for any help you can give me.

You have indicated that the State of Florida has you on record with a felony conviction.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe that if you go to another state, you still maintain a felony conviction on your record, irregardless of what state you relocate to, unless there was special indications on your conviction where if you behaved yourself for a year or whatever, then the charge would drop to a misdemeanor charge or whatever.

I don’t know if you are on parole or maintain contact with some aspect of the penal system, but the clerks office for the court where you received your felony conviction would probably be the best avenue to receive the answer you are looking for.
