Who are your favorite presidents and why?

Abraham Lincoln because he was a vampire slayer lol http://funadvice.com/r/bqb1h8i1v2n but i really do like him for what he did and how he was once just a kid from the woods who later became the president. :*)

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, whose large-scale public employment project would serve us well now.

Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt, definitely. The Republicans haven’t had a good idea since T.R., and that was 100 years ago.

Eisenhower was a fine man, but he was a general, not a politician. Both parties recruited him, because he was so popular after D-Day that he was a shoo-in for the White House. But his politics weren’t obviously Republican or Democrat, and he detested Richard Nixon so much that he refused to have his picture taken with his own vice president.

As for Nixon, he wasn’t at all liberal - he just signed a lot of liberal bills into law because he knew the Democratic Congress could override his veto. He signed more progessive legislation than many Democratic presidents, but only because he had to. His greatest accomplishment was opening China, which might have been good had we not outsourced so many jobs to them.
