Do you favor a war with Iran?

There is a hue and cry coming from the neocon branch of the republican party and the likud party in Israel to gin up a war with Iran. This sentiment seems popular amongst republican talk show hosts. I have yet to come across anyone on the street who is in favor of another war. I was wondering how popular the notion actually is among the peoples of the countries who would do the fighting and dying and who foot the bills.

Answer #5

Answer #6

No. War is evil

Answer #7

I don’t favor a War but there could be some countries that may want to destroy other countries by eliminating their peaceful people and if they refuse to listen and is the absolute last resort then something needs to be done.

I am not talking about Iran as I don’t think they are doing that. More like war in general. These days it seems that the war option is used too soon in conflict resolutions before all options have been exhausted.

Answer #8

No i dont think that would be wise. I hate war. But if they are a threat to other countries then yes there is no choice

Answer #9

No but if they try to mess with a country then yes to protect that country.

Answer #10

We shouldn’t. But if you want an argument as to why we should, I’ll try to be the devil’s advocate. When actually there is no need to explain such matters. Once a war has been started each country involved in that war foots the bill, as well as those countries not directly involved. By the lives that are lost & sanctions that are imposed.. I doubt that you will come across any citizen with enough common sense that are in favor of any war? (Small or large scale.) That cry that your hearing, is the cry for peace. Logically speaking: There can & will never be peace in the world that we live in. If you know history in a manner of speaking of wars, Wars have been a part of the worldly cycle for thousands of years. There will never be a cease fire or a declaration of truce. Only the regrouping for the next battle on another front. I’m sure if the United States went to war with Iran, then it will be at their (Iran’s) request.

Answer #11

There are already way too many wars. Starting another one would not bring any good to anyone.

Answer #12

I’m sure if the US goes to war with Iran… the casus belli would be some false pretense that Iran either poses an imminent threat to the west or Israel or to its own contingency of secular leaning populace. Either this or the justification would come in the manner of a false flag attack blamed on the Iranian govt. Iran has gone to great lengths restraining its reaction as it has been consistently provoked by assassinations… bombings and sanctions. Iranian officials understant that those groups I have mentioned who exercise an inordinate amount of political clout have been trawling for any excuse to sell another war to America and her allies. Iran has nothing to gain from war. They would never intentionally provoke a war. Cui Bono? Those seeking an end to the Iranian oil bourse and the influence Iran curries in the region.

Answer #13

This is almost close enough to be treason..
