How do I make my father understand that I really am feeling sick?

So I’ve been feeling sick all day yesterday and today when I got up it was the same. I still feel sick. My head hurts and I feel like vomiting. The thing is…my mom believes me but my dad doesn’t. He never really does..only if I have temperature. I don’t know why though..I’ve pretended to be sick only once and it was in 4th grade.

Is it necessary for you to have your dad believe you are unwell? As long as one parent thinks you are telling the truth and not pretending and letting you stay home, I do not see why it should be an issue. Perhaps your daddy is one of those macho dads who goes to work even when he is not feeling well as he does not believe the world or people needs to stop because he is unwell.

Yes, it is necessary because I need to go to the doctor and my mother is at work(my dad is taking a few weeks off now) and I can’t go on my own so he has to drive me. But since he thought I was okay he went out with his friends and stuff. And now my mom doesn’t want me to go to school but since we didn’t go to the doctor I have to go.

Your father is adult and has many years of experience on this earth, so perhaps he knows you are not feeling well but not enough to visit a doctor? Feeling like you want to vomit is not the same as actually vomiting. Perhaps ask your mother if you can get a locum (after hours doctor) to visit you when your mother is home.

Just tell him that your not feeling well and make sure you look like one who does not look well,…maybe you used to lie to him thats why he does not trust you,… tell him with good acting even thought your not that badoff
