Fake earrings are turning my ears green! .. what can I do?

You can use regular soap to get the green effect off your ear lobes. The whole greening process is because of the iron content, or rust content that costume or fake jewelry can cause on our skin because of the oil our skin produces. Some people are sensitive and even allergic to costume jewelry and it can cause some minor itching and discomfort. I suggest not wearing them (unless she comes to visit and it’s an absolute must) then only wear them for about an hour before you sweat and it turns your skin green again. But, yeah just use some warm water & antibacterial soap, and maybe using a tooth brush lightly on the skin to take the green off. Hope it helps. mandyloo is right, use natibacterial soap also get rid of the earrings if there fake once they turn green you cant get them back to there origional colour, and keeping them in will just make your ears go green again try earrings that are either goild, silver or surgical steel

To prevent this from happening I have found that if you paint the stem of the earring generously with clear nail polish it basically just makes and outer layer or coating the only thing is that it chips off sometimes but.. I dont know- hope it helps
