Fading recently dyed black hair?

Alright so I went to the salon today, wanting to dye my hair back to my natural color (dark brown). It had a reddish tint because I’ve done highlights before but my roots were growing in natural so yeah. The hair person said that they’re going to dye it a shade tiny bit darker then my natural, and then eventually it would fade into my natural color. But it turned out like black, and I hate it. The first day of school is coming up and I don’t want to have black hair :/ But I don’t want to buy a dye remover because my mom paid a lot of money for my hair and I feel bad.. Any suggestions on shampoo’s that help fade hair color please?

There is really nothing you can do except have it lightened… I have died my naturally black hair blacker for many years… it does fade with every shampoo so use a high detergent shampoo a LOT and it will help a bit. BUT really keep it conditioned!!
