Too much light can damage your eyes. Ever heard of snow-blindness? http://funadvice.com/r/bjlh2664uji

Answer #7

Yes then can. You can also get permanent eye damage from being in the sun too long. The first signs of it is what looks like a yellow layer on top of your eyes. When I worked in the pharmacy we often got people with that problem. Too much sun can also cause red eyes which can be excrutiatingly painful. Best is to wear UV protected sunglasses when you are out in direct sunlight.
