first apply a good base to the eyelids,a simple cream foundation should do.Pick the colors. For brown eyes, purples look gorgeous,if you have light eyes, charcoal’s and greys will work. You want a dark, light, and medium tone, and one color that is even darker than your darkest color (like black).Blend the medium tone onto the lid, stopping before you get to the brow bone.Next take the dark color and blend it into your crease a.k.a. “the banana”,if you dont know what I mean take your finger and put it on your eyelid, where you feel the bone of where your “eye socket” begins, thats generally where your crease is.To give the eyes a longer “cat like” look, you want to pull it out past where your eye corner ends, bring it out to about where the end of the thin part of your brow ends (not that high though obviously)and “shape it” into a sideways “V”…and blend!!! you dot want to see where the color begins and ends…it should just “fade”.Next take the darkest color and use just a dab on the brush (give the brush a quick swirl in the powder, and then tap to remove excess) and apply to the outer end of the crease where the “V” is blending it down to “connect” to the corner of your outer eye. Then place the lightest color under your brow bone to highlight, and on the inner rim of the eye (along the bridge of your nose, and in the inner corner of the eye to brighten it up)…finish with eyeliner…curl your lashes and apply mascara…and go light on any other makeup…(no dark lipstick or blush…your eyes arwe the center point) good luck!!

Well, one of the most common mistakes that girls make is that they use Grays and blacks to try and create the look. That is all wrong… use purples and blend a darkish gray shadow into the crease of your eye lid. Follow this with a thin line of black pencil liner, and top off with some black mascara and you have completed the look!!

No offense, but im confused kirsten26…you said a common “mistake” is that girls use blacks and gray’s to try to create the look…then you reccomend using a “darkish grey” in the crease…sooo wouldnt that be a grey? or even a black?…hmm

is what I do is laer the colors because it gives it a new look and still looks good…like black on the out side and blue and green on the inn side..it’s cool..and I dont think any one elce will do it.

Answer #9

I put on the lighter shade over my entire eyelid, then I put the dark smoke color on the outer part of my eyelid and fade in inward toward my inner eyelid. Put a lighter color of the darker color below your brow, that will light up your tops of the brow and add an ephasis to the smokey look on your eyelids
