Can someone explain the differences between 'has had' and 'have had'?

I know this question may be seem too easy to ask but I am still confused with the English grammars yet English was my first language. Can someone just briefly explain the differences of ‘has had’ and ‘have had’? Or give some good examples?

Answer #1

I think has had. Is one person and have had r more ppl

Answer #2

I’m not sure how to explain it, but here are some example sentences:

She has had the chickenpox before. Mum has had the chickenpox before.

I have had the chickenpox before. They have had the chickenpox before.

So I guess ‘has had’ is more for feminine and masculine indicating words such as She, He, Dad, Mum etc. And ‘have had’ is more for I and They etc.

Answer #3

“Has had,” is third person singular, or he, she, it, while “have had,” is for I, you, we, they. Overall, it’s for a unknown or unfinished time, or a time that doesn’t exactly matter.

Answer #4

In the English language ,there are singular verbs and plural verbs. I, is singular and the correct useage is, I have had a wonderful day today,as an example. He, she, they, them,or others, such as Mom are plural-so the correct useage is: Mom said, she has had an unusually busy day today. He said he has had to change his job. I hope this helps and good luck.
