What equation should I use for a water bottle rocket lab that uses distance vs volume of water as variables?

Answer #1

I would use inverse proportion equation:

D1 V2 = D2 V1

I would guess the less water you have in the bottle, the less overall mass of the bottle and the more room for compressed air, meaning it will go higher. Did you actually launch a bottle for this lab or is this just on paper?
