Answer #8

that is true. america is only 200+ yrs old.

Answer #9

I agree with Matt we have thousands of years worth of History and most buildings and records still intact which brings probably millions of tourists here each year. we have a monarchy and a government too.

Answer #10

Oh and we’ve had the biggest Empire ;D

Answer #11

Wooooah, America might have a better army than a dinky little island, with underfunded, underequipped forces. Not much of a boast.

Answer #12

From what I have heard, England has free medical care, the States does not.

Answer #13

England also has way more historical site, religious sites and legends are lore. England has Stonehege, Glastonbury Tor and king Arthur!

Answer #14

England also has a higher dollar right now and has way less violence than the States.

Answer #15

we are very patient, very sarcastic, free health care, but rising university fees.. we are trying to deal with an ageing population, but we still have a stable population, a monarchy that we cannot chose, but they don’t do much, they kinda just agree with the government. yeah we are much smaller but we have pretty much the same as america, and like a few others have said we even have a lot more history which makes it an interesting place to visit

Answer #16

England has me! Haha. :]

Answer #17

I can’t really say because I don’t live there, but I did visit for two weeks. They dressed nicer, didn’t feel the need to use cars to get everywhere, there was more history, the buildings were beautiful, and the whole country just seemed to know how to treat people better. Everything seems so much more relaxed. For instance, in Piccadilly circus I saw a group of people break out into a rendition of ‘Grease’, a man in his underwear doing tricks and a group of violinists; if anyone did that in America we would look at them like they were crazy. It was just this friendly vibe that I got, as cheesy as that sounds.

Answer #18

WOW thank you everyone for your anwers so many of you have answered. thanks :)

Answer #19

History? Did America hatch from an egg 200 years ago? If we’re talking about the history that is attributed to the land mass… the Native Americans would beg to differ. If we’re talking about the nation state… then Americans share English history pre-colonization.

Answer #20

its a fact the gurkhas are the best trained army in the world and their loyal to the crown so great britain has the better trained army.

america is bigger, not better trained.
