Emotions and Guys

Being a guy I can say for sure that it is VERY difficult for us to share our emotions within even our closest relationships. There have been many times that even my wife and I have had problems because of just that reason, I cannot express my feelings. I can only explain it as a feeling of uneasiness. I have no problem telling my wife that I love her, I tell her that many times a day, but to actually sit down and explain what i love about her is a totally different story! I have found that the best way to communicate these feelings is over a medium where reactions cannot be observed. I am currently in Iraq and my wife and I chat online constantly. Here i have no problem typing a message or emailing what i feel to her. As men we cannot bear showing othersour feelings because it is so engrained into us that to be sensitve is to be weak, its a part of our biological makeup. Id say to get more insight into your boyfriends feelings, ask him to write you a note or an email, send him one first even, he may feel more at ease sharing his feelings over that medium.
