Eh.. pregnant or not?

So i got a depo shot 6 months ago (july) and it was my first and only. Ive been having my periods agai and on the 4th of this month i had unprotected sex. Then again on the 11th & the next day i got my period and it was due around this time. So im a little confused. Could i get pregnant from either one of those times or am i still somehow protected by the depo? I wouldn’t mind beig a mother.. Even though i am young (18) but im totally against abortion so im prepared to handle the responsibility that comes with being a young mother..

6 months ago? You’re supposed to get your shots every three months. You most definitely were not protected by it. You very well could be pregnant though no one on here can really tell you. All I can say for certain is that you were not protected by the depo shot when you had sex. Best take a pregnancy test, or go to your doctors for a test, two weeks after last intercourse or after you miss a period. It would be much too early to test for it now.

The thing is i have my period now but im still confused because maybe i havent gotten pregnant yet… Idk idk but I will make a doctor’s appt to make sure.

make sure you discuss this with your partner that you’re having sex with because having a child is a life long commitment. Make sure he knows that you are not protected from a depo shot that you got 6 months ago. Any time you have sex there is a chance that you could get pregnant. Are you ready for a child at 18? Are you ready to give up on everything in your life to provide for another person 100%? You need to think about these things. If you’re not ready, get on birth control asap. And take a pregnancy test.
