Ear mites?

My cat is rubbing at his ear like, non stop. It’s driving him nuts.

Is it earmites? Or are his ears just in need of a good cleaning?

Also, how do you clean a cat’s ears?

Answer #3

We got ear mite medication at Wal Mart. He’s still rubbing at his ears but I think it’s just from the ear drops. It’s only been a fewminutes since we put it in.

Should we treat our other cats, too? Or can they not give ear mites to each other? Neither of the other two have been scratchng.

Answer #4

Sounds like ear mites to me. You can pick up an eye dropper and some Mineral Oil at the grocery store (or regular earmite med at Petco)…and get rid of them. You have to do it every day for a few days to get the eggs…but it surely will be a relief to your kitty.
