Dying Blonde hair brown, but what to do with the roots??

Hello.

im am going to be dying my hair back to brown from bleach blonde. I have had my hair blonde for a couple of years now and need a change. My roots are coming through though and I dont know what to do with them. I am applying a filler first but I am unsure of wether to do this all over or to leave the roots? Then with the brown dye, should I do the roots first or last?

Help! :)

Danieleee Did you ever do your hair? How did it turn out? I have been bleaching my hair, but have let the roots grow out. My natural color is a dark blonde and I want to get an all over chocolate brown color. I was wondering if I do the roots first or last since they are dark blonde and the length is bleached…

this isn’t what you want to hear, but ANYTIME that you’re going to something drastic to your hair, get it done professionally. going from light to dark sounds easy like it’s a one step process you can do on your own, but it’s not. touch ups and going one or two shades lighter/darker can be done at home, but if you’re doing something like this, it’s not worth the risk. trust me, I’ve been all over the rainbow and back with my hair.

heh I know I know. I have done it a couple of times before. Going back and forth from blonde to brown for about 4 years. I’ve never had any serious problems I just always have abit of trouble with my roots not taking the same as my lengths. I just dont know wether to do them first or not??

if you read the instructions they say to do your roots last.
