What are some good dubstep makers?

They cant require any equipment, but can be any price :) Except for Virtual DJ… that stuff sucks :)

Answer #1

depends on what you mean by “dubstep makers” there is a difference between being a producer and a dj, if your looking for dj programs deckadance is a good one if your looking to be a producer like me youll have to look into abelton live and flstudio or you could go with realist five but if you want to be a dj or a producer you need to know music theory

Answer #12

Answer #16

crizzly* sorry lol i forgot it wasnt grizzly anymore

Answer #17

First of all, DJ’s or artists, not makers. But DJ Ephixa, DJ Gammars, Datsik, E-Os(Look up his “Moves Like Jaggar” remix). There are actually a bunch. And Skrillex isn’t dubstep OR brostep. He’s just a crappy techno artist. He doesn’t even deserve the term DJ. and Deadmau5 is house, not dubstep.

Answer #18

nice half witted comment…. skrillex is brostep, look up docta p, and flux pavilion they are brostep artists, tell me how close they sound? brostep: americanized dubstep that usually replace the traditional dirty low bass wobbles that dubstep has with highpass frequency wobbles causeing headaches and blown eardrums. theres a diference between a producer and a dj cause you seem like you dont know the diference. and the issue with deadmau5 was already covered, maybe read all the way through the comments before commenting, you might save yourself the breath. also i think she was asking about music making tools such as ableton live and fl studio along with some basic sound plugins such as massive and razor. as a electronic music producer and a dj it is my duty to know my stuff about the music i create, any more questions or concerns you need answered?

Answer #27

skrillex is a hybrid of dubstep, but some of his songs are dubstep, you really won’t know what dubstep is until you start producing it

Answer #28

very good point :D it makes me angry because people think skrillex is some sort of dubstep god who created dubstep, when i classify his music as brostep, i dont hate skrillex i just think he has too much hype
