Do you believe in the saying "a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts"?

Like do you think that it’s true?

Answer #1

If that saying is true, then sober men do think a hell of a lot of bullsh!t…

Answer #2

I believe it, unless they are blackout drunk hahaha

Answer #3

in most cases, yess. alcohol is liquid confidence. so people don’t really care what they say when they are drunk BUT alot of times, people are full of nonsense.

Answer #4

Often it is true. I’ve heard alcohol refereed to as “truth serum.”

I was rather alarmed when a friend of mine married a guy described as a “mean drunk.” He seemed nice except when he drank. My fear is that when he was sober he was on his best behavior but when drunk his true nature was revealed.

Answer #5

Its possible because when your drunk you get this carefree feeling and you just feel like everything is good and stuff so you get this confidence that allows you to say evrything you feel and not feel bad or guilty about it.

Answer #6

yesss indead!

Answer #7

I believe that to the Core… I have heard some pretty bad things out of a drunk’s mouth that they would never admit to saying sober. It sucks.

Answer #8

I do believe so in a lot of cases, but not all. I mean.. I do think that alcohol gives people a boost of courage that they sometimes may not have normally, but you have to admit that sometimes people say some real dumb things that they don’t mean when they are completely sober too. So sometimes, even if they are drunk, they are just more likely to talk a lot of BS. xD

Best thing to do? If someone says something you’re unsure of, ask them when they’re sober if they meant it. They may not admit it, but on the odd chance they may. You never know.
