Dragonball Movie

yeah I saw it yesterday… it’s probably ok to let your kids see it. it’s one of those no-blood kung fu violence movies.

I thought it was pretty entertaining despite the fact that it’s not entirely true to the story. I”m a big fan of the animated series, and I wasn’t that upset with the changes they made. It would be hard to cram 300+ episodes worth of history into 85 minutes.

We haven’t seen it yet, but I read about 30 reviews yesterday, 30% seemed to think the plot wasn’t accurate or true to the story, or the effects were to low budget, etc. 70% seemed to like it & find it enjoyable…it’s PG, so, I was trying to make sure there wasn’t anything inappropriate so I could take my kids (their 6 & 8), from reading it didn’t seem that was the case.

Also while Chow Yun Fat (spelling?) seems to have played a similar role before (eg, bullet proof monk) I enjoy movies he’s in.

It was ok at most, they could’ve done more with the film though, made it longer and added to the story and better fight scenes, I thought I would give this film a try because I watched a few of the cartoons when I was younger but wasnt too impressed, I would give it 5/10.
