mcfarr…

we are leaky vessels… and we have to be continually fueled… to stay in faith…

it leaks out of us, so to speak.. everything that we go thru on a daily basis,

pulls us down, and we have to be recharged, just like a battery. If you have

been going your own way for awhile, or you happen to be in a dead church, where

there is no spirit alive, if you have not been reading your bible, or being around others

of like minded faith, and full of the spirit, then, you will be like the virgins that had no

oil (Holy Spirit), or like salt, that has lost its saltiness… but, the fact that you recognize this, and want to do something about it, means that the Holy Spirit is drawing you…you have to make the decision to follow. Ask him where he wants you to be, and how he wants you to be involved. He will lead you to it, if you are willing. Get alone with him, and seek him, do some fasting, and read your bible, soon, you will be feeling his touch again, and your spirit, will begin to come alive, and if you keep it up, pretty soon you will be on fire again, or perhaps for the first time, you will be able to identify with Jeremiah, “It is like fire, shut up in my bones”.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up Mcpharr to you, asking that you ignight the spirit that is within, as only you can, drawing him/her back into right relationship with you, forgive the sin that hinders, and deliver from evil, and renew a right spirit within, fill to overflowing, and lead him/her where they need to be, with the right group of people, that can encourage, and be of help, in his/her walk with you. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

God Bless… Keep coming back, and let us know how you are doing…or if you have any thing else that we can help you with.

it’s not the “devil” the devil is as made up as Adam and Eve. Don’t be ashamed that you doubt something that is not real. it rational thoughts and common sense from knowledge. religious people are amoung the stupidest, and less comprehensive

Answer #3

neo… Your statement :

wow I have no idea why I came here.

is evidence of Gods love for you, and his continually trying to draw you back into right relationship with him…

Think about it…

Your finding this site “by accident”, has his footprints…

all over it …

Sounds like you’ve reached a desert place in your walk. Many times I too have reached a point in my life where my circumstance caused me to question the validity and purpose of my faith. Christ is the restorer of right relationship. Remember, that’s why He came. Scripture is full of areas where the “giants” of the faith were dragged down into hopeless despair only to have their relationship with the God of the universe astoundingly put back on track. Think of the Psalms David wrote for example while he was on the run from Absolum his son. Remember mcpharr that Jesus loves you so much and will not see the righteous forsaken. Take heart and pray, read God’s word and find an older Christian to talk to. Blessings to you.

The thing is you need to try to build your relationship with God, and spend more time with him. One way you can do this is by reading the bible. You don’t have to get all holier than thou and everything. But you just need to cry out to God for Help. But you have to make that descion personaly. Also if you can’t find a church than a guy who who you can listen to is Jessie Duplantis. He is one of those preachers who keeps religion fun. But also remember to watch out for some of the churches. Some may take you to a place that is not where God wants you to be.

Thanks amblessed!!!

I should think you’re at the stage of making your faith your own now - before, you maybe just accepted what your family or church leader told you, but now, you have to decide for yourself. This can be pretty daunting but it’s also very exciting - going into adult life with a child’s faith is no use, so now you’re challenging yourself to find out what’s really real. Amblessed’s advice was great, in my opinion - remember that Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with you, and go for it!

What really helped me get back on track was attending a ‘Praise, Spirit-filled’ church that keeps my batteries charged (so to speak) - it’s really helped me grow in my Christian walk - In my opinion, what ‘religion’ matters not - whether or not you have personally accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior determines where you will spend Eternity - certainly man is flawed (sinful/imperfect nature) but God is not - He says in His word ‘His thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways are not our ways’ - God is certainly big enough to guide/control what is written in His word - I’m a Christian and it’s not so super ‘strict’ - if you’re saved your desire is say and do things that please Him - you’re man and you will make mistakes, but He makes it clear, if you confess - He is ‘faithful and just to forgive’ - what sends one to Hell is rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savoir - notice that thief on the cross who never had done anything good in his entire life - he recognized Jesus for who He is (sacrifice for our sins - His purpose), asked Jesus to remember him and Jesus said ‘Today will thou be with me in paradise’ - that’s all any of us have to do - realize your sinful state - be genuinely sorry and ask for His forgiveness and to come into your life / your heart - He WILL ! - anyone saved, regardless of religion is Heaven-bound, they’re covered by His blood shed at Calvary - see a lot of people think, well, I’m a good person, I give to charities, etc, He’s a loving God, He wouldn’t send me to Hell - a terrible misconception - where God’s love comes in, He loved you enough to provide you a WAY to get to Heaven through the sacrifice of His son Jesus - He didn’t, I repeat, He didn’t have to do that ! If anyone needs more information, just see my profile page…I hope this helps…Take care !!
