why dose a cat's tounge feel like sand paper?
i just got a kitty and omg!>…her tounge feels like sandpaper…THE PAINFULL ONE!
The sandpaper like tounge, Is actually a brush. It’s normal, don’t worry. Try having your cat lick your neck all the time!!
It helps them keep clean and it helps them remove meat off bones (like when they used to actually hunt and stuff).
its normal the reason the cats tongue is all sand papery is becuz they use that to clean there fur its absolutely normal dont worrie about it
It’s also to help them drink. Water/milk gets caught in their tongue when they lick it.
The roughness that you are feeling is called Papillae and it is designed to help the cat get rid of excess hair when it washes itself. It acts as a sort of brush.
