Who knows if dog whistles are good for training your dog?

Answer #1

They are very good.

Answer #2

They are great but make sure to adjust the frequency properly so your dog can react. When training use the whistle then a command and the gradually omit the command so that the dog reacts to only the whistle. Try all sorts of combinations for different commands. Eg. Short blow - sit, two short blows - lie down, one short and one long - heel, etc.

Answer #3

they are good to use to get there attention but if you use them to much, they can effect the dogs hearing and bug them, and don’t work your dog to hard. Ppl told me at my dogs obideince classes its best to space out the training, maybe an hour throughout the WHOLE day 15 mins at a time…
