Dog shelters in northern VA?

does anybody know any good animal shelters in the northern VA area preferably like in woodbridge or annandale? I’ve been looking online at dogsrule.com and petfinder but petfinder doesnt really work and I want like dogs that are more in their puppy stage and pomeranians and like maltese and little dogs not bigs ones

OK, so the zip code for Woodbridge is 22191. YOu can search Petfinder by zip code AND age of the animal AND size.

Here is the specific search on Petfinder for small puppies in Woodbridge: http://www.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?pet.Animal=Dog&pet.Breed=&pet.Age=baby&pet.Size=S&pet.Sex=&location=22191
