Why does my dog have an itchy butt and paws?

Shes been bitting (& licking) at her paws like crazy & scooting around on the floor occasionally I keep her up to date on shots, dewormings etc. & I get her glands done regularly! I’ve had her checked for mites etc. she has none of that shes healthy besides this problem with itchiness They haven’t found out what’s wrong with her yet they are thinking its allergies but I have no clue what she could be allergic to :S I’ve tried changing her food that doesn’t seem to help either! I don’t know what to do please help!

Answer #1

Well its plausible she could have fleas or ticks, she also could just be getting irritated by the weather, i often found that befor my dog passed, in hot weather she would go crazy. I strongly suggest taking it to a vet.

Answer #2

It sounds like a skin allergy, what type of dog is she? Some of them are more prone to allergies, just like humans. It could even be something as simple as her bedding.

Answer #3

She doesn’t have fleas or ticks I brush her & check her everyday for fleas (& ticks) & give her a bath with flea/tick shampoo every 2-3 days (or sooner if she gets dirty)

Answer #4

Maybe you bath her too often? Dogs aren’t supposed to get baths that often, I think that might just be your problem.

Answer #10

If your dog drags its booty across the floor then 9 times outta 10 its do to its anal gland being full and its starts getting itchy. you can take your dog to the groomers and they will release the nasty yuck thats causing it. Its normal. Incredibly gross when you think about it lol.

Answer #11

If your dog has been dragging its booty across the floor then 9 outta 10 times its caused by the anal gland being full. When that happens it causes the dogs bum to get itchy lol. You can take your dog to the local groomers and they can squeeze the gland to release all the nasty gunk that’s built up. Gross huh? Lol
