Why doesn't permanent marker stay on your skin?

Answer #1

Because you’re always losing skin, it comes off and grows new layers. A lot of permanent marker only stays on the top layer of your skin as well, so it gets rubbed off when you wash your hands (or whatever)/ goes away when your skin cells like re-grow or whatever. You’ll notice that it does stay for a while in some places; that’s where it was soaked into your skin. It’s also not designed to be permanent on skin.
