does my cat have a burn?
I think my cat has been burned, he has this black scab behind his ear and its swollen. Hes not playful but is eating.
could be that he has a Abcess and it burst and now it is trying to heal . Like Phrannie said if he got in a fight with another cat a Abcess is likley. But is could be many things, I would take him to a vet.
A burn behind the ear is a strange place to get one…(getting a burn at all is strange)…are you sure he has been digging at his ears, and that black scab is from that? Like ear mites…or possibly a fight with another cat? A puncture would will get infected…see if you can “soak” the scab off, in order to really see what is under it…(just use warm water)…
